Scorecard

Formula
10% niacinamide, 4% tranexamic acid, in a thin water-gel. No fragrance listed, no alcohol denat high on the list. 10% is the top of the useful range for niacinamide; 4% TXA is a real dose, not a label dose.
Skin types
Normal, oily and combination first. Dry skin can use it at night over a hydrating toner.
Irritation risk
Low to moderate. High-percent niacinamide gives some people a warm flush for the first minute; that is not an allergy, but if you are mid barrier-repair, wait.
Value
30 ml (the 2024 version listing) with two actives at working strength, and the list price is $22 before the discount.
Retailer price
$11 at Olive Young US, list $22 (−50%). 2 retailers priced, spread $5.50
Dew verdict
Valid

Niacinamide is the ingredient every viral serum claims. What matters is the percentage and what it is paired with. At 2% it earns the Korean 기능성 화장품 (gineungseong hwajangpum, "functional cosmetic") brightening mark; at 10% it is doing real work on oil and the look of pores, and it is also where sensitive skin starts to notice it.

Tranexamic acid is the quieter half. It interrupts the signal that tells skin to make more pigment where a spot healed, which is why it shows up in every dark-mark serum from Seoul in the last two years. Four percent is a proper dose.

The texture is watery. It goes on under a moisturizer without pilling, which is the practical reason it outsells thicker brightening serums at the same price.
